Nineteenth-century traps were generally made of lead. As that is unacceptable today, we offer the traditional alternative of a copper and brass "P" trap.

Plastic traps should never be seen. Ordinary, modern polished-metal traps are unfortunate in appearance and not recommended for Crapper basins.
