The Thomas Crapper Bath/Shower Mixer Set: engineered in solid brass and replete with period details.
Some mixer sets on the market to-day are in fact copies of models from the Thirties, or even much later. That is why several “period-style” mixers do not look quite right, for their proportions and profiles are from the 1930s-1950s rather than those of the Victorian or Edwardian eras. Others are entirely modern-day creations.
Most Victorians were content with a pair of bath taps, however to-day most of us want a handspray as well. Therefore we have produced a new mixer set with the correct proportions and we have added many authentic flourishes from the period so that it matches properly our other fittings. For instance, note the china parts - made of earthenware not vitreous china; the tap ‘headworks’, matching those on our washbasin taps; the early-pattern handset & rose is an uncommon design, elegant and authentic. The graceful ‘swan neck’ handspray cradle is an exact copy of a rare original, which brings the handset forward so that any drips fall into the bath.
Within, the mixer has modern technology in the form of ceramic-disc cartridges instead of the old rubber washer system.
Also available with ‘bent unions’ for WALL-MOUNTING.
